Tristan Da Cunha

Tristan Da Cunha Driving Advice and Car Hire Info

Tristan Da Cunha holds the title of the worlds most remote inhabited Island with a population of 264. The island is located 2800KM from the African Continent and 2400KM from the nearest inhabited settlement, its residents live in splendid isolation on this small island in the South Atlantic Ocean. There is one paved road (the M1) from Edinburgh-of-the-Seven Seas / The Settlement to the Potato Patches, a distance of around 3 miles. Unfortunately, there are no car rental options-until an enterprising local decides to rent out an old banger in order to qualify for the honour of the worlds most remote car rental outlet!
